Raynaud’s Syndrome
Raynaud’s syndrome is a condition characterized by the temporary narrowing of blood vessels in the fingers, triggered by exposure to cold or stress. This causes color changes (white, blue, red) and discomfort.
Symptoms:
- Cold, numb, or painful fingers;
- Color changes in response to cold or stress;
- In severe cases, ulcers or sores on the fingers.
Treatment:
- Avoiding triggers: protecting hands from cold;
- Medications: vasodilators to improve circulation;
- Managing the underlying condition: if associated with autoimmune diseases.
Accurate diagnosis and a personalized plan can prevent complications and enhance patient comfort.
